Sponsorship at Heartwood / A tree in King Henry's Walk

For a donation in the region of £2,500
You can sponsor a tree in King Henry’s Walk*, a newly created avenue of oak trees stretching from Langley Wood to Well Wood. Each of the 40 trees is 12 – 15 foot tall, and though they will not be marked in any way, their location will be identified on a map, so you will know exactly which tree you have sponsored.
*During the Second Battle of St Albans on 17 February 1461 in the War of the Roses, the Yorkist forces took King Henry VI prisoner and tied him to an oak tree in what is now Heartwood Forest. The Lancastrians won, freed Henry and briefly restored him to the throne, thus King Henry’s walk is an appropriate name for our new oak avenue at Heartwood.
